“Everything You Always Wanted to Know About FSMA But Were Afraid to Ask” – SafetyChain Software’s April 24 FSMA Fridays

April’s session of SafetyChain’s popular monthly series with FSMA icon Dr. David Acheson and The Acheson Group team, to focus on answering attendee’s most pressing questions on FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA)

SafetyChain Software, leaders in Food Safety Chain Management Systems that Automate, Streamline & Improve Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA)™, is pleased to announce the topic for its April 24, 2015 FSMA Friday: Everything You’ve Wanted to Know About FSMA but Were Afraid to Ask.

FSMA Fridays is an online, interactive forum that helps the food and beverage industry stay up-to-date on FDA’s Food Safety and Modernization Act (FSMA); examines the impact FSMA rules will have on food safety and quality operations; and provides guidance on how to prepare for FSMA compliance. It is estimated that more than 80 percent of food and beverage companies will have to comply with FSMA.

The popular monthly series, which has attracted more than 2,000 ongoing registrants, features FSMA icon Dr. David Acheson and The Acheson Group’s food safety team, who address pre-submitted and live questions from the audience, on a schedule of FSMA related topics. The April 24, 2015 FSMA Friday, however, rather than focus on a specific topic, will be an open forum where attendees can ask their most pressing questions on any FSMA subject.

The session will begin with the team discussing their most frequently asked FSMA questions, including:

  • Will FDA meet the deadlines?
  • How will FDA fund all of the extra inspections they will be required to do?
  • When will the Qualified Individual training and clarification be available?
  • How can companies determine which FSMA rules will apply to them?
  • Will FDA issue new product tracking requirements?
  • How does GFSI fit into FSMA compliance?

After discussion on these topics, the forum will open to questions front-of-mind to attendees. Registrants are encouraged to submit their questions prior to the event using the form included with their registration reminder/confirmation, or ask them live.

Barbara Levin, SVP and Co-Founder of SafetyChain Software commented, “As FSMA compliance deadlines approach, we understand that food and beverage companies have many unanswered questions. We are excited to dedicate a FSMA Fridays session to allow attendees an opportunity to ask the questions on the topics that are most important to them. SafetyChain is proud to have Dr. David Acheson and The Acheson Group team available to provide insight and clarification as companies begin to prepare for FSMA compliance.”

As always, the April 24 FSMA Fridays session will begin with a general update on FSMA.
